I wasn't sure if this has been mentioned before, but this is a great program and a way to trim your grocery budget:

http://www.angelfoodministries.com/

I just ordered our first box of food for $30. It isn't organic or anything, but it is a lot of food for a very low price. We are planning on using it to offset the cost of buying the rest organic and have a few cheap meals each month. There are no income guidelines and you can order as much as you want!

Do you have to order it or how does it work? Karen

I get Angel Food almost every month. Unfortunately, it is not organic but it is of excellent quality and there is plenty of it. If there is something we don't use, for instance usually the desserts, we pass this on to someone with lots of kids that is already there. They are very appreciative.

May God bless those who love the soil,

Patsy

It's good to remember that there is no paperwork necessary, and that anyone can participate. Also, if you know people on food stamps they can use food stamps to pay for the boxes of food...a very good way to stretch their budget.

Hi. I'm new here but this topic caught my eye. I just found out about Angel Food Ministries myself and plan to buy some shares next month. It's good to know it is well worth the money.
