I received some whole wheat budget mix from a fellow farmgirl. At dinner the other night, I made a small shepards pie for my husband, from leftovers, and was planning on making myself pancakes out of the budget mix. After the pancakes were cooked, I tried a bite without syrup. They were so good, I didn't even use any syrup. My husband asked why I wasn't using any. I told him how delicious they were, and asked if he wanted one. He said yes, and really liked it also. Then last night, I asked what he wanted me to make for dinner, and he said pancakes. I was floored because he is such a meat-n-potatoes man. He has never asked for pancakes ever! That's how good the budget mix is. If you have been teetering on trying it or not, TRY IT!

I made a bakeover with the whole wheat and my hubs really liked it. I was pleasantly surprised! Lots of veggies and he still liked it! :-)

Aunt Jenny - the pancakes are a HUGE hit here, too! My hubby can't get enough of them! We're almost out of budget mix and I promised him I'd order more. I use it for EVERYTHING these days and it's always fabulous!

That's great, Patricia! When I made my first bakeover with the whole wheat, my husband deemed it "the dinner of the world!" and he only eats meat and starches...good stuff!!!
