Hey Farm Girls!!!
Guerin Go to the public library and read the Almanac. May have reference copies that don't check out, but some libraries also have circulating copies to check out and take home for hours of pleasure.

Posted - Sep 07 2005 : 11:16:12 AM I LOVE the Almanac! It is one of my heralds of fall, picking up the almanac to peruse and study! I also choose my wedding date by it! It was a full moon in June. Supposed good luck to marry on the full moon. We are still married after 25 years ( knocking on wood right now) so maybe there is something to that choice! I have used it to plant by moon signs. Planted my vineyard by it.

Posted - Sep 07 2005 : 11:10:49 AM We planned our wedding date by it. We lived in a very windy area of the bay in near San Francisco, and my grandparents always followed the almanac, so browsing through the almanac in January we picked a day in Sept and it was just as they said.
My sister is getting married in Oct, she is doing the same.
Does anyone use it for planting? Maybe I will pull my copy out, to see what it says for the rest of the year.
When I feel spring coming I have to plant or I’ll go crazy! |
