Posted - Sep 06 2005 : 1:26:52 PM Granniehelga, I use my half-gallon canning jars to store anything that will fit in them. From dry goods, cereal, chips, cookies, etc. They are also great for storing leftovers. Or leftovers for the freezer. Then I use my Food Saver to suck all the air out. I can't believe how that extends the shelf life of EVERYTHING. And it's so simple to keep resealing the jars after each use. BB
