Has anyone ordered "The World's Healthiest Foods" by George Mateljan? You can see it here.. http://www.whfoods.com

It's a little pricey, but I think it looks like a good book. Would love to hear somebody's review.

yum.. we bq a lot of chicken through the summer. All the kiddos love it. I buy a ton of chicken when it is on sale during the summer. I parboil it with tons of garlic!!! then I make a spicy bq sauce- I take the cloves of garlic that are soft from boiling and mush it up, then I add my fave bq sauce- store bought usually and add a ton of louisianna hot sauce..

Thanks for half.com site Sherri, definitely cheaper! I'm still not sure I want to put out the $$ which becomes even more expensive when you add shipping.
Mostly I'm just looking for some different healthier recipes...I'm getting sick of the winter blah diet. So looking forward to spring greens and fresher foods again. I planted 2 kinds of peas, chard, spinach and a batavian lettuce mix in the greenhouse yesterday.

Nourishing Traditions was $29.95 - my youngest son was seeing a holistic doctor at the time and he recommended we buy the book and use it. I did and was pleased, except my family didn't care for the fermented foods. Anyway, I have seen Nourishing Traditions several times at different Goodwill stores for the price of a paperback - I think the current price is $1.95 (WAY too much for a regular paperback, by the way) - my point being, if you watch the thrift stores and the half.com site, you may find it priced pretty reasonably one of these days, if you're not in a hurry.

If I remember Nourishing Traditions was $29.95 or something like that. It was worth it. All of the recipes and the info.. Take a look around the site- if you like the recipes then you will like the recipes in the book. I went through the sample pages and it looks good.

I tend to agree Tasha, which is why I wondered if anyone had actually bought the book. This is a good website however and I've referred to it many times, long before the book was ever published.

I don't know about spending that kind of money on that book, but I really like the website. They have some wonderful recipes on there. I saved it to my favorites. Thanks for the heads-up!
