Hello,
Been out of the world of children's snacks for awhile. My children are 20-27. I am now the proud nanny of 3 younger boys 4-10. My new boys are some what picky eaters but mom expects them to eat healthier and more fresh items know that I'm part of the family. So what do you feed the children in your life for their snacks or easy busy day meals? I am also in charge of Breakfast and dinner. Suggestions for try and true eats are most welcome. Thanks!!!!!!!

our kids like bananas smeared with peanut butter and them covered in sunflower seed meats or granola. It's a fun one they can help make too!

How about smoothies? Frozen strawberries, bananas, yogurt, ice cubes, maybe a little honey...most kids I know like smoothies.

1. Pudding is always a good choice. (that way they get some milk)
2. Peanut Butter and Applesauce dip. (Mix about 1/2 peanut butter 1/2 applesauce or to your own taste) great to dip apple sections in.
3. Banana pops...take a banana and slice in 3 sections (place on popcicle sticks), cover with peanutbutter, place a few of the mini vanilla waffers on and then roll with sprinkles. Kids love doing this.

grilled stone fruits with a luttle whipcream are great

Fruit cut up with yogurt dip or peanut butter or just a big fruit bowl
3-4 whole grain cereals, mixed up into a bowl
Half a whole grain bagel, smeared with hummus, cream cheese, natural peanut butter or just plain melted cheese on it
Cheese sticks, rolled cold cuts, healthy crackers and sour cream with ranch dressing mix (I use whole fat for the kids, since they need it and I only put about 1/3 of the ranch dressing you should in)
Homemade french fries (regular pototoes or sweet potatoes or even those purple or fingerling ones...yummm) seasoned as you please (Bake them in the oven with some olive olive, salt, pepper and my son likes a little garlic) serve in a cup (which is more fun and portable) with your choice of dressing, ketchup, mustard, etc...

Cheers,
Heather
