Posted - Dec 03 2007 : 12:12:54 PM My next door neighbor gave me a friendship bread starter, which should come to fruition this week. He gave it to me in a ziploc bag, which is what the recipe instructions he had called for. It works great, except that I'm waiting for my three year old to squish it to death. Is there any better way to keep your starters? Where are yours?

Posted - Dec 03 2007 : 12:49:40 PM Hey Kim, maybe you could place the zippy bag in a clear glass jar to keep little fingers from over squishing the bag. Wow, I haven't made friendship cake in over 8 years....my MIL use to give me my starter from hers. But she now lives in OK., Oh well, it was good & my DH LOVED it. enjoy yours. hugz,
