Posted - Nov 12 2007 : 1:48:56 PM I have never made homemade stuffing. Ususally I buy Petridge Farms dry stuffing and add onion, butter, celery and broth. But this year I would like to try making it from scratch, you know, drying the bread over night in the counter and all that jaz! The recipes I have been finding don't sound to good and I don't want to try something new like stuffing on Thanksgiving. So I figured everyone here has tried and true recipes and I wouldn't be so afraid of trying. We like the simple sage flavor.

Posted - Nov 13 2007 : 12:37:37 PM Surely. I will send it tonight when I get home from work. It's on a very small (very stained) recipe card in my little file.
I forgot to mention there is also onion, but I guess that's a given in stuffing :)

Posted - Nov 12 2007 : 1:56:49 PM Well, I love my stuffing recipe, and everyone else does (except my dh--he says it has too much "stuff" in it)....It uses 2 loaves of bread, golden delicious apples, celery, toasted sesame seeds, toasted pecans, hand rubbed sage, s & p and broth...it's very simple and very easy, and everyone loves it (except dh , who really just likes Stove Top)
I'd be glad to send you the recipe if you'd like it...just let me know.
