Posted - Oct 24 2007 : 07:56:16 AM This is so easy, but it occurred to me that others might want to try it. My DH is not nearly as fond of chocolate as I am, but he does like the chocolate and peanut butter combination. SO much so that for years now, whenever I bake a pan of brownies, I would add dollops of peanut butter over the pan of uncooked brownie batter, then swirled a knife through and around the whole pan to mix the two together. Then bake as directed.
This summer, a friend showed me that adding a bag of peanut butter chips to the batter before pouring it into the pan works even better. Enjoy!

Posted - Oct 24 2007 : 09:37:49 AM ooooh, Heather...that just sounds decadent! I love that combination; maybe start making half-batches of brownies to keep us both happy! Or, mix the caramel with the peanut butter and the brownie mix....sort of like a turtle? This is sounding better and better!

Posted - Oct 24 2007 : 09:12:23 AM There are caramel chips out there now that are excellent! They aren't caramel flavored chips like chocolate chips, but actual caramel. I love caramel brownies! |
