This is so easy, but it occurred to me that others might want to try it. My DH is not nearly as fond of chocolate as I am, but he does like the chocolate and peanut butter combination. SO much so that for years now, whenever I bake a pan of brownies, I would add dollops of peanut butter over the pan of uncooked brownie batter, then swirled a knife through and around the whole pan to mix the two together. Then bake as directed.

This summer, a friend showed me that adding a bag of peanut butter chips to the batter before pouring it into the pan works even better. Enjoy!

Yummy! Thanks for the idea. My daughter just happens to be making brownies right now! I don't have any chips but I'll do the pb swirl this time and get the chips for next time. :)

ooooh, Heather...that just sounds decadent! I love that combination; maybe start making half-batches of brownies to keep us both happy! Or, mix the caramel with the peanut butter and the brownie mix....sort of like a turtle? This is sounding better and better!

There are caramel chips out there now that are excellent! They aren't caramel flavored chips like chocolate chips, but actual caramel. I love caramel brownies!
