Hello ladies
do any of you make your own mulling spices? If so, could you please post your recipes? Thanks

We make this most Sunday's in the winter to strengthen immune systems for the week. Everyone loves it.

I use two mixes;
1st one is added to some water & simmered, covered for 20 min.
Then mix #2 is added & the mixtures are taken off burner for 15 min. Strain all & add to 4 parts or more apple juice, 1 part pineapple or orange juice, equal parts honey & lemon juice.

#1 Mixture
3 parts Cinnamon sticks
1 part cloves, ginger, pau daco, echincea

#2 Mixture
2 parts hibuscus flowers, dried
2 parts rose hips
1 part dried citrus peel

I use cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, whole nutmeg crushed up, whole allspice, lemon peel, orange peel and sometimes ginger if I can find it. I don't ever measure anything I just use what looks good to me.
