Does anyone have any creative ideas on how to store boxes of tea. I have at least 20 in my pantry and they are taking up so much usable space. They are mostly medicinal teas and others that I use for making tea jelly. Does anyone have any ideas on how to store them? I don't want to throw them all together because it will be hard to keep track of what I am running low on...any ideas are appreciated.

what then do you do with the tea jelly? what do you eat it on? just like regular jelly? toast, muffins, etc? are there any recipes that you use tea jelly in?

Wow, was off for a couple of days and was so surprised to see all of your wonderful ideas!! Thank you.
Tea Jelly is made from an infusion of tea then cooked with sugar and pectin just the way you would make regular jelly. I make a mean chai jelly because I blend the spices myself instead of using store bought tea bags, but those would work too if you don't want to blend your own herbal infusions. There are several recipes out there so just do a "Google" and use the one that ya think would work best for you.

That is a great idea, a tea apron.
I think I'm going to give that one a try.
I have a huge walk in pantry and something like that would look so cute hung on the wall.

What great ideas for storage. I am a big tea drinker - could never acquire a taste for coffee. I have a chest that friends had made for me, but it only holds a few bags of each flavor.
What is tea jelly? I would love to give it a try. |

i love that idea too! i watched an organization makeover show on hgtv this weekend and they used an over the door organizer for passports, receipts, travel books, etc (the guy traveled a lot for business)... and that would be great for teas and seasoning packets! the one they used had clear pockets so you could see what was in them... anyone know where to get one with clear pockets?

Do you have room to hang a shoe-bag on the back of your pantry door, or anywhere out in the open, to display and organize your boxes of tea? My cousin hung one of these inside her pantry door and stocks all the sleeves with granola bars, kid snacks, gravy packets, etc. It's a greatway to handle all those little things in our cupboards. It helps her toddler choosing his own snack, too since she stores his "allowed" snacks in the two lowest rows.
Continuing along this idea, how about a Tea Apron of sorts, to hang somewhere, and making it any shape you like out of a pretty fabric, and adding enough pockets all over it to hold your boxes of tea. I'll bet a fabric of teacups and saucers would be neat!
Love hearing everyone else's ideas, too.

I found an old tool box, the kind that was carried, with the center handle (all made of wood) at a junk store (and I see them constantly at antique stores for not much $$$$, and I set it longwase, and put it on my wall as a shelf--ends up, it fits boxes of tea nicely, though I'm not sure about 20!

SCREW TOP CANNING JARS. ZIP LOCK BAGS, THESE ARE IF YOU WANT TO TAKE THEM OUT OF THEIR BOXES. IF THE BOXES ARE PRETTY I WOULD THINK THEY WOULD JUST LOOK PRETTY STACKED ON THE SHELF.
