Now that we've discussed dinners and breakfasts, let's talk about what we back in our DH's lunches, if he takes one. I'm always looking for a new idea - I think I get more bored packing the same old thing every day than he does by eating them! I pack his lunch every night before I go to bed (as well as his breakfast and set up the coffee pot) and he takes a peanut butter and jam sandwich, a bag of homemade trail mix (with 2 glucosamine tablets in it), a banana, an orange or apple, and something crunchy (pretzels, etc.) Every day, he wants the same thing. I change up his breakfast muffins when I bake them every week, and put new stuff in his trail mix, but that's about as wild as he gets!! What do you pack?

I haven't followed her menus to the letter but I certainly take a lot of ideas from there. I love the idea of frugal, good for you food, that doesn't always have to be the same old same old.

I'll have to check out that site again. Haven't been there in a while. Dh usually takes leftovers and does take sandwiches sometimes. Try to get fruit and yogurt in on some days but lots of times he will bring it back home.
Definitely need some new ideas here.

I like her site alot too.
My husband likes to take leftovers from supper the night before..if it is a chicken dish he always makes a sandwich though. I can't imagine not LOVING chicken..but he would love it if we had it once a week and no more..not a chance! At least twice for sure!! he does like mexican dishes with chicken though. Tonight we had homemade lasagna and he will take a container to heat up in the micro at his work..I usually pack him some fruit. He tends to not eat it but will take home canned peaches to have with toast for breakfast at work too. (toaster oven there too)
