I have canned stewed tomatoes, catsup, spaghetti sauce, salsa, Italian zucchini, tomato sauce, and tomato juice. The tomatoes are still coming. Any suggestions?

I did spaghetti sauce successfully! I am very excited. I bought the Ball book about canning and realized it isn't as hard as you would think.

Sun dried! I forgot about those.

Alee, I use both water bath and pressure canning, depending on what I am canning. If you're new at it, you may want to contact your agricultural extension office. I purchased a great book for $10. It is called "Complete Guide for Home Canning" published by the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture (Bulletin No., 539). I've had it for several years and it is my "bible" for a canning guide. Mine came punched and ready to put in a three-ring binder.

Good luck. I'm sure you will get as hooked as the rest of us. It can be a lot of work, but when you serve it at dinner, the pleasure you see on those eating it makes it well worth the time.

What type of canning system do you use for your tomatoes? I am going to be canning tomorrow. I am very excited since I have never done it before. :)
