Well sometimes the old standby's are the best but here's two others I like:

Potato Chip Cookies

3/4 c butter
3/4 c sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 c flour
1 1/2 c crushed potato chips ( not to fine)
3/4 c chopped pecans

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well and roll into balls size of walnuts. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and flatten with a fork.
Bake at 350 for 12min or until light golden brown. Makes about 3 doz.

Spice Bars

2C flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
set aside

3/4 c oil
1/4 c honey
1 c sugar
1 tsp cinnnamon
1 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp cloves
1 egg
1 c pecans

Mix above and add dry ingredients slowly, blend well. Press into greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 for 20 min.

Glaze with :
1 c powdered sugar
1 TB water
2 TB Mayonnaise
1 tsp vanilla

Hope that helps,

Holly

ps-- the cookies are a recipe from an older lady at our church in WA and the bars are from a friend in Germany. There's another bar recipe I LOVE but can't find right now.
