My DH has been working 6 10s lately plus a 2 hr. commute after work and looks SOOOOOOOO tired when he gets home (he's 57 yr. old and works in heavy construction) Anyway, I want to do something nice for him today and his favorite thing is peanut butter pie. I'm sorry to say I have never made him one because I make the worlds worst pie crust, but I'm willing to give it another shot if one of you has a great peanut butter pie recipe. Can you help?

I made something "loosely based" on a combo of these recipes, and I have to say, I don't think you can ruin peanut butter, cool whip, pudding and cream cheese all mixed together...

I cooked the pudding as recommended, I mixed the cool whip, 8 oz of cream cheese ( I did use the half fat kind), 1 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter, and after the pudding cooled a bit, mixed that in, too. Put it in the fridge and had a piece with some milk.

YUM!

I made the pie last night and he liked it but "suggested" that maybe next time I might want to mix some peanut butter into the vanilla pudding as well. Sounds like pb overdose to me!!!

Daisy's peanut butter pie recipe is very similar to my daughters. She puts some chocolate topping on it too, and it's her absolute favorite pie!! I've omitted the vanilla pudding before, and it's still good. I've also put in 8 oz of softened cream cheese instead of the vanilla pudding, and it's great then!! This is one of those things you can experiment with. Enjoy it!

I make what I call a cheater PB pie. The reason I came up with this is my family wants PB pie more often then I feel like making it. So this is a quickie easy version.

1 graham cracker pie crust
1 small box of cook vanilla pudding
1/2-3/4 cup of Peanut Butter
Powdered Sugar (1 cupish??)
Cool whip

Take the PB and mix it with the powdered sugar with a fork or pastry cutter until you have added enough powdered sugar to make the PB form little balls. Take this PB powdered sugar mixture and put it in the bottom of the pie crust saving a little for garnish on the top. Take the pudding and make is according to the instructions on the box. Take the hot pudding and slowly pour it over the PB mixture. Let it cool and top with Cool Whip and garnish with remaining sprinkles. Garanteed a winner!!!
