It's time to start signing up for JUNE Mail Art!
If this is your first time signing up for Mail Art, please visit the topic Farmgirl Mail Art to read our guidelines.
FOR JUNE, please leave a comment on this thread stating you'd like to join in. Sign-up is available through JUNE 10. If your comment appears after you've posted it, that means you're on the roster.
The theme for this month is sunshine! And as always, if the theme is not right for you, feel free to do your own thing.
I will send an email with your partner to you on JUNE 12. Please send your Mail Art before JUNE 30.
I'd like to encourage everyone to post a comment on the current month's thread when you receive your mail art. And if you can, a picture is nice. We all love seeing the inspiring art! And a quick thanks lets your partner know you received your mail art.
A couple more things to keep in mind:
1. Traditionally, Mail Art has been "secret"; part of the fun is receiving a surprise package from a surprise partner. I would encourage you not to tell your partner who you are until a reasonable amount of time has passed for them to receive your art.
2. Please be sure to include enough postage for your Mail Art to reach its destination :)

Thanks for noticing the sun print! It was the 2nd try! I have a cute little blue piece of cotton for the first, as I stupidly hung it on the line to dry and (NOTE TO SELF) that is why it is a sun print, the sun outside over exposed and took the design away! Live and learn. I too, took July off to re-group (I've got lots of Birthdays this month). But, I'll be back in August!

Aimee! I thought that was a sunprint, but didnt want to ask and be wrong! I'm so impressed that you used that method (so on top of MJF!) but also at how well it turned out! You must really be happy about that!

I am glad the mug arrived in tact. The mail lady demonstrated to me how even "fragile" packages get dropped a certain distance. I had such fun doing the sun printing. I can't wait to do more!

I owe a huge apology to my secret sender, April, for delaying so long in even letting you know your package arrived safely!
Thank you so much! I just adore art books, and yours is not only creative but obviously packed with a lot of time and thought. My 2-yr-old granddaughter enjoyed going through the pockets, and insisted on a cup of tea as well. I've already decided that in a couple of years the fairy locket will be hers, and I look forward to helping her tuck wishes inside it! I'm looking forward to sampling your potato salad recipe too, thank you!
My apologies to all for my delay. As I read through the earlier posts, I became aware just how hard and busy life can be for all of us. So nice to have a creative outlet, and connection with good people.

Aimee. I love my wonderful mail art. the mug is so cute and the pillow will be well used I also love the tissue paper that you wrapped them in. I think I will be finding a use for it.

So glad it arrived. The key to crochet is getting the turns just right so you don't loose stitches. There are some fabulous youtube videos on crochet. Have a fun summer and stay creative! :)

Hi April, so glad you like your mail art that I made for you. The little pouch is called a storage pod, they are fun to make and you can just use them for about anything. Mail art is just fun, enjoy.

Dearest Patsy/Dirt Duchess!! My deepest apologies for not posting this 3 days ago. Please forgive me. I had to say good bye to 3 different immediate family members and my days were tough. I received my awesome mail art from you and GENUINELY cherish it! I loved the little mixed media triptych and the personal card of who you were was so delightful I smiled hugely! Jutta, received my package today. The bag was such a ray of sunshine. I'm trying to crochet but I can't get the second row to go. Maybe someday I'll be close to your skill. Can't get the photo to attach. But it is beautiful.

that is acrylic paint on the canvas using a pour technique, and then I covered it with resin, for the shine.

I just received a cute painting on a wood panel. I'm so sorry because I can't read the name... (Nora perhaps?) Hope the person recognizes herself. I don't really go fishing but my friend does. Just to be clear thought that I live near Montreal in Quebec. I will ask him next time I see him! -^-^-

Sincerest apologies to my sweet partner down south of me... I'm a tad late in getting my june mail art out to you... I had an issue with inspiration this month, believe it or not, and along with my son's broken leg and far too many therapy and dr appts, this mama's challenged in nearly every aspect at the current moment. I should be able to have it out to my by Monday... hope you like it! (( hugs )) ~ April
