Posted - Oct 03 2016 : 09:47:03 AM It's time to sign up for October Mail Art!
If this is your first time signing up for Mail Art, please visit the topic Farmgirl Mail Art to read our guidelines.
FOR OCTOBER, please leave a comment on this thread stating you'd like to join in. Sign-up is available through October 15. If your comment appears after you've posted it, that means you're on the roster.
The month of October always feels like the beginning of the holidays, starting the season off with a little trick or treat. How does a holiday theme sound this month?? Whether it be spooky or sweet, lets send a Halloween Mail-Art treat. And as always, if the theme is not right for you, feel free to do your own thing.
I will send an email with your partner to you on October 17. Please send your Mail Art before October 31.
I'd like to encourage everyone to post a comment on the current month's thread when you receive your mail art. And if you can, a picture is nice. A quick thanks lets your partner know you received your mail art.
A couple more things to keep in mind: 1. Traditionally, Mail Art has been "secret"; part of the fun is receiving a surprise package from a surprise partner. I would encourage you not to tell your partner who you are until a reasonable amount of time has passed for them to receive your art. 2. Please be sure to include enough postage for your Mail Art to reach its destination :)
If you have any questions or concerns, please send me an email. I'm always delighted to help.
Happy Swapping and farmgirl hugs!
MaryJane's daughter,

Sherry I'm glad you like the little bats!
Marilyn, I worked on my bat project at my Grandmother's also - she was amused by it. She is 95 and used to sew and do projects all the time.
So much fun to see all the farmgirl creativity!!

I I got a cute little "widow" owl from Dianna yesterday, but what with one thing & another I opened it today. As directed, she is now out of mourning. The little cat and pumpkins are darling, too. Thank you so much!

Thank You Liscuva! I absolutely LOVE this adorable pumpkin you sent me! It is so sweet, happy & beautifully made! I've been tardy as well, your box with sweet treats (lol photo of those no longer possible) card & pumpkin came Saturday. I brought him down to show my Grandmother (she got me turned onto MJF) she was delighted, so he spent Halloween Day with her :) He is now back home from his visit.
To the partner waiting for my box: it went out on Monday & the Postmaster said 2-3 days, sorry for the delay! I took it to town on Sat to send it out & left your address at home... (and couldn't figure out how to get it out of an email folder from my phone! grrr)
Thanks for all the Farmgirl fun! Diana Sister #6578

Posted - Nov 01 2016 : 3:57:35 PM I received a package today that looked like it had been opened and retaped. The tracking tag was over the return address. The tape had ripped off part of the return address. The only thing I could recognize was the zip code of 49032. I googled the zip code and it showed Centreville, MI. There was no name inside the package. Inside was a beautiful brown paper bag journal or album. I love it. Someone spent a lot of time on this. It has a list of references to Thanksgiving. I am going to start out writing in it about Halloween night. Our only trick or treater was our grandson. We live way out in the country. The rest will be daily writings of my count down to our big family get together on Thanksgivng. Thank you to my mystery partner. Please reveal yourself. Can't wait to see who you are. Hugs, Patsy.
