Posted - Sep 02 2016 : 07:16:45 AM It's time to sign up for September Mail Art
If this is your first time signing up for Mail Art, please visit the topic Farmgirl Mail Art to read our guidelines. Then leave a comment on that post if you want to participate and I will contact you.
FOR SEPTEMBER, please leave a comment on this thread stating you'd like to join in. Sign-up is available through September 15. If your comment appears after you've posted it, that means you're on the roster.
The month of September heralds the beginning of Fall, one of my favorite seasons, so let's make Fall our theme this month. And as always, if the theme is not right for you, feel free to do your own thing.
I will send an email with your partner to you on September 16. Please send your Mail Art before September 30.
I'd like to encourage everyone to post a comment on the current month's thread when you receive your mail art. And if you can, a picture is nice. A quick thanks lets your partner know you received your mail art.
A couple more things to keep in mind: 1. Traditionally, Mail Art has been "secret"; part of the fun is receiving a surprise package from a surprise partner. I would encourage you not to tell your partner who you are until a reasonable amount of time has passed for them to receive your art. 2. Please be sure to include enough postage for your Mail Art to reach its destination :)
If you have any questions or concerns, please send me an email. I'm always delighted to help.
Happy Swapping!

Posted - Oct 19 2016 : 09:40:10 AM I'm glad you like it Mary Jo, I fretted that the bottom is too thick with the leaf & lace. It was fun to do, I have not had my plant press out in years! Happy fall, it is absolutely glorious in NH today - wishing you a beautiful day as well!

Posted - Oct 08 2016 : 09:56:16 AM Thank you so much Dahl, for your lovely package. A fabric paper towel...which I had heard about, but never seen...and now I have one. Perhaps I will be inspired to make some myself. The pretty bag in which to keep my plastic bags will look SO MUCH NICER than the plastic bag they are in now. I love the cute pumpkin you made with its delicate leaves, and the candle too. Your package was picked up at the PO when I was on my way to the hospital to get my husband. I was so happy when I opened it because it was a bright Autumn spot in my stressful week.Thank you.
There are TWO TOWELS, one yellow and o n e orange. What a neat idea. Thank you Dahl.

Thanks so much to my September mail art partner from Wisconsin. I don't know her first name but she sent me two beautifully colored postcards and some pressed Maple leaves! What a lovely treat to open on a dreary gray morning in Western WA!
Cheers! ~ Marilyn

Lola, Thank you for the microwave cozy. What a wonderful and clever idea. I would never have thought of something like this. I appreciate you also including the pattern. I see myself making a few as Christmas gifts. Thanks again.

Posted - Oct 03 2016 : 06:43:54 AM I am so very sorry to my partner for not getting your packaged mailed yet. It has been a rough couple of weeks and things have just gotten to me. We have had several major appliances break down, the water heater, toilet and the master cylinder on my brakes went bad so I have no vehicle at the moment and then Thursday my husband was injured at work and spent three days in the hospital. Everything hit all at once and I let it overwhelm me I promise to get my package mailed this week. So very sorry I am so late.

Posted - Oct 01 2016 : 5:30:50 PM So glad you liked your Mail Art! I had such a fun time crafting all of it; and some serious cogitating to figure out how to add my birch bark to my cover (my sewing machine wasn't happy with me at all! -^-^-) Have a wonderful Fall! xx |
