So I spent most of my Jubilee week in my garden, on my sewing machine, and giving gifts! My get together was cancelled, unfortunately, so I enjoyed my cake and tea with my youngest baby (not unfortunate)!
On Monday, I attended a craft get together at the library and sewed a quilted casserole carrier! It was really nice to meet some nice ladies and I have found a group of gals who can teach me some things! (Like how to cut multiple pieces of fabric one time with a rotary cutter!)
Tuesday I made another clothespin apron to wear around town!

Wednesday, I wore my apron around town and visited the Lilac Gardens! Only a few late blooming varieties were blooming, but it was still worth it as I joined the Hulda Klager Lilac Society and plan to attend the monthly meetings so I can make new friends and learn important things!

Thursday I finished my basket for my neighbor, Martha.

I embroidered a tea towel, packed some herbal tea into a mug, sewed up a lavender sachet, planted pollinator friendly native flowers in a tin planter, and added another packet of the same seeds for her garden! No picture of her receiving it, because I caught her in her pajamas, but she was happy just the same!

Saturday I went to the farmer's market and a school garden plant sale with a new friend! And we swapped stories and bought plants and gabbed! And I found out that she reads MJF magazine! Now I just have to convince her to join the forum!! I think I've found a kindred spirit!

Here's my flag!

It doesn't come through in the picture, but I embroidered the Jubilee logo. It was, by far, my most ambitious project (after our chickens!) My hands were stiff! But it was so worth it! (Except when the wind blew it off and it landed on my cantaloupe start...)

All in all, a fantastic week!
Happy Jubilee, everyone!
And HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MARYJANE!!!

And, Happy Mother's Day!

Hi Alicia!
Here's a link to the fabric. I just got mine at the store and I used a coupon I had!

It's really cute, and I think I may go back to get more and make a casserole case or something!

Ally, what a wonderful week of Jubilee celebrations you had!! I love your cute apron fabric and your Jubilee flag too. They look very festive and fun for this year's celebration. I know your friend was so excited to be gifted such a wonderful surprise. You did a great job on the embroidered tea towel as well. Thanks for sharing all of your Jubilee festivities with us here!
