Posted - May 03 2015 : 09:50:11 AM Our chapter gathered yesterday to celebrate not only the Jubilee but our Sister Sandi's birthday. We made our chapter necklace, ropes, and cold-processed soap. Fun was had, food was shared and we ate cake!
We had a blast! Can hardly wait until next year!

Posted - May 09 2015 : 11:23:47 AM We did have a great time! It was my very first Backdoor Farmgirls meeting but the ladies were so friendly and welcoming! I had fun making my necklace and eating lunch with my new friends. Sadly I had to leave early for my great aunt's 100th birthday party so I didn't get to learn how to make soap or rope but the first few hours were a blast! Thanks to Sylvia for organizing such a great Jubilee event!
Cheers! ~ Marilyn

Posted - May 05 2015 : 08:09:59 AM We had so much fun. The necklaces are the kind that have a tab to open and close them so we did not need to solder. We talked about everything under the sun and laughed so hard. You didn't dare leave the table, you might miss the next joke.
I got the soap home to let it finish setting up and slowly cool down, but the cat apparently decided it was something to walk on. It now has several divots and looks like rolling hills. It'll lather up fine though.

Posted - May 04 2015 : 8:37:41 PM Sandy was given a flour sack apron in her favorite color, pink. We did surprise her. Maybe I"ll get her to pose with it on! Chocolate cake it is! Her favorite!
