Posted - Aug 15 2020 : 08:38:25 AM Hubby installed some shelving in my "pantry" in our camper. (I'll upload pictures from my phone shortly)
Problem is that everything either falls off the shelf or slides to the very front and when you open the door you get clobbered with something. What can we do to prevent this? Like a safety net type thing? Or should he put a lip on the front of the shelves?
I'm also looking for something for towel storage. Maybe a shelf in the bathroom? I have plenty of room. But not sure how far hubby can put a screw into the wall. Anyone use command hooks somehow for towels?

Posted - Aug 27 2020 : 08:34:39 AM My tension rods arrived today. I think they’ll work out. The cabinet is small. Only 11” wide but they’re deep.
We have those sweater hanger things in our “closets” on each side of the bed. Unfortunately our closets aren’t as tall and I only get 3 shelves instead of 5 in our old camper. Better than nothing..
I like this idea I found on Pinterest. If it can hold the weight.

Posted - Aug 26 2020 : 3:10:07 PM I was thinking small tension rods too. Some of your shelves look smaller so i'm not sure you would find the size you want. What about putting a towel or two in front of the stuff on each shelf? Would keep stuff in place and when they fall out at least they won't hurt.

Posted - Aug 18 2020 : 2:39:58 PM Hey Deb,, looking Good!
In my Aristocrat I use a single, canvas shoe holder hangy thingy.. I roll my towels and wash rags up small and tuck into each compartment. In my Scotty I have a sweater hangy thingy , in the closet, perfect for towels, TP, and other misc stuff.
As for tension rods! they are great to lock in your draws... Camping World sells them,,, but you might be able to find the size you need at Walmart/Target and a lot less expensive.

Posted - Aug 17 2020 : 06:29:58 AM For the shelves I'm going to order some small tension rods. It's the least expensive way to fix the shelf problems. Not sure what I'll do about towel storage just yet.
Hubby is a retired carpenter so I'm quite spoiled when it comes to having things built.
