City Chick	Posted - Jun 10 2020 : 1:53:02 PM We traded in our travel trailer last fall and downsized to a smaller model since it's just hubby & I camping now. We haven't been able to take it out yet! Hubby wants to go back to a ruby mine in North Carolina. I need to look up a campground for us to stay at. Somewhere close to the smokies and we'll drive to the mine for a day or 2. Spent all day at the diamond mine and after that all I wanted to do was shower and enjoy the AC. I'm craving fall camping. Leaves turning colors, campfire, nice cool evenings. City Chick	Posted - Jul 28 2020 : 06:34:19 AM Guess what? I'm camping! So stinking excited. We spent 1 night in Memphis at Graceland Campground. Connected to the Elvis museum and right across the street from the mansion. With Covid we're not visiting any museums or being around any groups of people. We did walk by Sun Records & The Lorraine Hotel. Incredible to see both - especially the Lorraine Hotel. :( Now we're in Arkansas at Crater of Diamonds state park. Going diamond hunting very shortly. This campground is beautiful. So quiet. Very wooded. I'm off to look for some good camping recipes/menus. katmom	Posted - Jun 24 2020 : 8:05:26 PM Krista,, my daughter and her family,, pulled the 5-th wheel out back on their property and hooked it up to electricity and water,, and every couple of nights they set up the fire pit, and sit out and then when they turn in,, they sleep out in the 5-th wheel.. they love it! That whole area of North Carolina is beautiful. Keep us posted if you can head out and post us some photos of your trip! Grace, your area has been one non stop storm after another! Phooey on that!! I had to put both trailers back into the barn last week due to storms,,, and now we have another storm coming in tonight and it's suppose the storm and then rain on through next week.. We are talking about renting a trailer and heading out one of these upcoming weekends. I havent been to the Smokies so I'm no help with that, but enjoy your trip and be safe! Krista
