That's too funny! But exactly what I was thinking. The 20' Airstreams have a real oven in them, too. We'd be having to pinch pennies from now until then to afford one and a new car to tow it with. Thanks for all of your input. The vintage ones look so fun, but my hubby isn't handy and since we live in a townhouse we'd no room to work on one, either. Oh well! I'm sure having fun looking at what everyone has done to theirs. Hubby is the less is more type. Actually, more than less is perfect for him. He hates clutter!

I love the photo, too. Thanks for it!

Hubby & I lived in out 22' vtg. Silver Streak,,, and survived to celebrate our 41st wedding anniversary... just barely! lolol!

That being said, it saved us a ton of "hotel money" by glamping in it while we house hunted and waited for escrow to close.

Vtg. vs New... is a matter of preference... new or near new has it's advantages over Vtg.,,, newer plumbing and probably still water tight and no wood rot... where as a Vtg. one, may be suffering from age related issues, ex: wood rot, water damage, old plumbing... but if you have a very handy hubby who luvs to tinker and is not afraid to roll up his sleeves, a Vtg. could be a ton of fun.

As for decorating, Glam it up or go minimal.... but take only what you need and consider using a lot of 'plastic' type dishes and containers... while fancy/Vtg. china is lovely, it adds to the overall weight and prone to being broken...

We luv our vtg. trailers, but every now and then we toy with adding a newer model for major traveling.
Just a few warm fuzzy thoughts from me to you... follow your heart and have fun!

I've been drooling over those two pages ever since I got my magazine! My hubby and I are thinking about getting a trailer to travel the country after he retires, so it's between this, a restored vintage or a new Airstream. I keep coming back to this little thing, but could we live out of it for a few months on end? Who knows! But it's sure fun to look at those photos! I'd love to see one in person just to see the size first hand.

CJ, you know my way of thinking...
'trailers are like potato chips... you can never just have one' lol!

Saw those pics and remember Mary Jane talking about it when we were with her in June.
Pretty darned cute! I've gotta stick with my newly acquired Sprite and get her on the road next season!
