This was the inside, before we opened the windows on it. I posted about it on my blog yesterday, if you are interested.
We were supposed to take the camper, but he pulled a big surprise on me. It was our first time staying in a yurt too.

Posted - Oct 30 2013 : 04:26:20 AM Grace, did you see? We got one last camping trip in this season. It was cold, but we loved it anyway. He he! In fact, the weather is good this week, so I suggested it for this weekend too (he he!).

Posted - Oct 01 2013 : 08:59:22 AM The yurt contained a good sized refrigerator, a stove, oven, microwave, toaster, and coffee pot. It came with cookware, dishes, and silverware (knives, peeler, measuring spoons, grill tongs etc). We had a propane grill on our deck, and a fire ring. It had a kitchen sink, but we had to supply the dish soap.
All linens were not included (bedding, towels, washcloths, dishcloths).
We also had a small electric heater, a fan, a wardrobe for clothing etc, hooks in the yurt and in the bathroom, full bathroom with shower and flushing toilet (they supplied the toilet paper).
There was a kitchen table, slept six, and a 13 inch TV with DVD player.
At the top center of the roof, was a large.
He definitely wants to take the family for a week. We had the beach, and the kids would love it. They can also go fishing several places, and enjoy themselves on bicycles.

Posted - Oct 01 2013 : 07:03:57 AM Another idea id the cabins at KOA's. they are cute and are quite comfy. It's like camping, but not really. My hunky hubby and I are going to take a trip along the Oregon-California coast next year and are planning on the cabins for lodging.
Make sure you give us a full report on your yurt experience!

Posted - Oct 01 2013 : 04:41:17 AM We found out that another Lake Erie island has yurts too, so we are looking into the costs. My problem is that I will need to save every penny I can, so I can go visit my dd when she goes to military training (for a year). I better check campgrounds there too.

Posted - Sep 30 2013 : 07:20:05 AM I've seen teepee's at other parks too. They do look interesting. The yurt is only rented by the week, but when he called, there were only a few days left of the week, and no one had rented it. He convinced them to rent it for just the weekend.
