Ugghhhh! I am so going through Glamping withdrawals.... and I
(& hubby) still living in our 23' vtg. Sliver Streak trailer w/2 katz... but it's not the same as Glamping in my wee lil Scotty trailer... but on the plus side, our Escrow is due to close w/I the next 2 weeks and then we can move in,,,, and that's when the fun begins... painting, carpeting, etc.... and then maybe I can get a lil glamping in,,, even if it is just on my property,,, before Winter sets in.

Well, it didn't happen. I blame Sunday football. Ha ha!
He started to work on the stove (inspect it), and he decided to find a second company to inspect it for us. I think we really should leave it to the professionals when it comes to the wood stove. So...he got that arranged, but then realized he never got the plates and the temporary tags expired (on the camper). Ugh.
Today he's at his nephew's house, watching football. He's typically gone the entire day with the boys. I told him it's making him lazy and forgetful. When he gets home, I'm taking sticky notes and (he he) putting them all over inside the truck. Then, just maybe, he'll bring home the plates for the camper, and we can take spontaneous trips before winter.

Oh to be a kid again....
If Hubby finds the piping in order today (if no repairs are actually needed), I'm convincing him to get the camper hooked up today. Crossing my fingers.

Grace,
the weather here is fantastic for camping, and we had planned to go. However, the chimney guys poo poo'd the fun. Now we are told we have to replace all of the piping and Hubby is focused on that, and not camping. He's afraid to take the weekend off, for fear of the weather dipping to the 30's, and not getting the stove fixed (if it really needs it).

So much for Autumn....

So far, September has not been very "campable or glampable" here in my part of the world. Has been a chilly, rainy month. We got HAMMERED with rain and some wind yesterday and this morning it was 35 degrees with frost on everything! I'll bet there is fresh snow on those mountains in the east!
Brrrr . . .!!

I sure wish I could . . . but I'm pretty sure it's not gonna happen!
My hubby and I were away for the weekend in Ouray, CO, but it wasn't glamping.
Not only am I having "withdrawals" too . . . I'm just disappointed.

The good news is we still have nice weather to continue Glamping into Nov.,,,,
I can hardly wait to get moved into our new home (hopefully by next week or sooner) get nested and then go play out in my lil 'playhouse on wheels'... sure miss snuggling in my Serro Scotty w/a good magazine and my 2 kitties.

Nancy~jo... yep, see what happens when we play hookey from the MJF forum... lol! to catch up... we sold our home in Spokane WA and moved back to California... now we live just 35min from Yosemite... love the place we moved to... Coarsegold which is just a few miles from Oakhurst and 30 min from Fresno. SO I get my mountain and city fix easy peasy.

I've got the hankering for another camping trip. But this time I want to go with just Hubby and I - no kids.
However, it looks like this weekend (and next), it's not happening. Phooey...I need a camping fix.

Boy howdy, me too! Since my daughter is my glamping partner and she's back teaching school full swing . . . well, it looks like our glamping season is over for this year!

On the plus side, hubby and I are headed out for a little campground cabin getaway this weekend! Gathering up things we need and packing are what gets tedious!

Hang in there Gracie!!!
HUGS TO YOU!
