I just wanted to inform all of you that it is important to take a first aid class. You never know when you'll need it. I am a nurse and volunteer at our Bible camp. It was so good to refresh the memory & practice. Be prepared, you never know when you'll need it.

I was looking through old posts - lots of good ideas in them - and this one jumped out, since I just re-upped my Red Cross Basic First Aid & CPR certifications last week.

CPR has become even more simple than before, and the basic First Aid really is just plain good to know.

I'm cursed by living in the 'burbs, but blessed with the emergency response time from 911 call to arrival of assistance in our county is around 4 minutes. For my parents, it is more like 11-13, and that is FOREVER when a medical emergency is happening. As you all know, the more rural your location, the more important this training becomes.

One of the most interesting sections of my recent training was clarification of the a Good Samaritan laws - there has been so much misinformation out there.

Consider signing up for a course - a few hours of your time could make a huge difference!
