We took the kids camping this past weekend. And we are totally hooked. Everyone had a blast. We went with friends and camped in a circle.

So I have put off decorating the camper too much until I knew we would love it. But now I am ready to make it ours.

I need some ideas on outdoor lighting. I don't like any of the cheesy lights they are selling. So please post some pics of what everyone has for lighting. I would really like to make something original or different from what is being sold.

I will be making some throw pillows and comfy stuff this week.

CJ love your lights ! Is there any way you could post a little on here how you made them. Is that the little Christmas lights inside them? I understand how you used the solo cups but not sure about the lighting part.

Arttie,
Two of these pics show my "mini-glamp" lights hanging in my house. The middle one is of them on our canopy for our glamping. There is also a jar candle burning on the table. But we use these lights while glamping on our canopy all the time. (I've started putting the shades on every other mini-light so they are a bit less crowded} I made the shades from solo party cups, decoupaged fabric on them. If you're interested in more details on how to make them, let me know. Would love to share.
They are a hit at our glampsites!

I like those too Annie, and my new favorite but probably not as easy for camping, is the blue glass mason jars, and adding one of those solar light tops to it! LOVE it!

Hi Arttie and Sisters,
How fun for you! I like the idea of repurposing and think the tin cans that have the punch art on them are so beautiful. You could use different size empty cans depending on the size you would need. With fire safety issues I don't know how I would implement this idea. I would imagine that there should be some solar lighting options that could work. I am not much of a help, but wanted to say hi and share my enjoyment of tin can reuse.
Have a great summer! Annie
