Posted - Apr 27 2013 : 08:07:36 AM I will have to take time to go fishing after reading this! LOL. CJ: I always catch turtles when I fish. Some turtles are good to eat. Marly

Posted - Apr 26 2013 : 9:26:54 PM The only thing I ever caught was a turtle . . . in the edge of its shell.
But, I'm not really a fisher-person. I'd rather go hiking. Which is what I do while my hubby is fishing, which he enjoys! Happy catching for you fishing farmgirls! CJ

Posted - Apr 26 2013 : 5:26:47 PM Kristina, I agree with your husband. Bluegill is delicious. I haven't been fishing for years, but used to catch a lot of bass, both smallmouth and largemouth. I've also caught a sizable steelhead. All are delicious eating. I won't go fishing by myself because of all the weird things that can happen to a woman alone. Ex hubby wouldn't go bank fishing--he always had to tow along his boat.

Posted - Apr 26 2013 : 10:11:25 AM I can't wait to go again. The younger girls really enjoy it, but need more practice on safety.

Posted - Apr 26 2013 : 10:02:07 AM Good for you! I need to pick up mine. I'm just itching to get out there with my pole... My favorite fishin' memories are going out with my Grampy in the October dawn. It's awesome.

Posted - Apr 08 2013 : 05:47:49 AM Nini, here we mostly catch catfish, bluegill, bass, and at the lake we catch perch. In some places we can fish for trout, but more so the other fish. At the lake (Erie) we can catch up to 40 perch per person, but Hubby likes the taste of bluegill better.

Posted - Apr 05 2013 : 2:16:18 PM Congrats Kristina! The whole family got ours last summer when we went fishing together. I have to check, but pretty sure its good for 2-3 years. I grew up fishing for fluke and flounder, along with of course snappers. Fresh fluke and flounder are my absolute favorite! Hugs,

Posted - Apr 05 2013 : 11:56:56 AM Good for you, Kristina! My dad used to enjoy fishing almost every day. Fresh fish on the dinner table - mmmm - there's nothing like it! Do you live near the water? What types of fish will you be catching? My husband's family owns riverfront property, but all you see down at the docks are huge carp - not my idea of good eatin' at all, so I'll gladly do without! LOL! Well, anyway, kudos to you for getting your license! Enjoy!!! Hugs - Nini
