We made the sign for our campsite of old license plates that we cut up to read 2 Vintage Divas and decorated it with old dominoes, dice, monkeys from Barrel of monkeys. a troll doll
Everyone loves it and it is a good conversation starter

Maria,,, frame that one! or you could drill small holes at the bottom of the plate and hang Chandileir (sp) crystals or old silverware or trinkets from it. or add some type of hooks to hang keys from
So many ideas.... I just need more coffee to think of them! lol!

What a clever idea! I just went from registered plates to "Farm Use" ones on my pickup truck. The old ones were commemoratives honoring Virginia's farming history, very pretty farm scene with a number ending in FG (for FarmGirl!) -- I'll have to do something with them.

Question on your notebook, though. Did you cut the plates? Aren't there sharp edges that could cut you? How did you deal with that? Soooo cute! :)

Grace,
Robin and I were in a shop in San Diego a few years ago and there were all kinds of things made with license plates . . your purse reminds me of some of those things which included purses.

Gracie,
After our chat today about this and talking about pop rivets. Those do look like some type of rivet, but not pop rivets. They may be similar to the ones used in leathercrafts. My hubby uses some brass ones for his knife sheaths that look like those on this little album.
Happy trails "katmom"
