A good hot soak must be one of the greatest luxuries life has to offer... especially after a long day. But it gets twice as fun when it happens in the forest!
I just shared how I set up my clawfoot soaking spa on my blog:

This is our only bath/shower from April to October, so you can imagine it gets lots of use. I can hardly imagine taking a bath indoors now! ;D
I know MaryJane has something similar in her book... have any of you tried setting one up? Do share!

Absolutely breathtaking Kellie!
I am actually in the process of setting up my "summer home" out back. I recently found a gorgeous claw foot tub for $50, and am about to start working on that part of my "vacation home". I was planning on doing the campstove underneath as seen in MJ's outpost book. I am currently trying to figure out "flooring" for the bath area.

Hi Winnie:) The can of bath salts came from the MaryJanesFarm shop in CDA - a birthday present!
Heather - Yes! I can't say enough good about our heater. We've been using it for three years as our only bath and shower for 6-7 months of the year, and it is awesome. It probably takes 30-45 minutes to fill the tub... just as long as a regular indoor bath. And that water is as hot as you want for as long as you can stand:) Sometimes, on a very cold evening, I'll just leave the hot on and let it run over the sides - so luxurious! :smile:

I love what you have done!
I too have an outdoor spa. I've just been using a camping shower to fill, that takes FOREVER, I saw the same heater you have and have considered it. Have you had a chance to use it much? Does it really give you the amount of HOT water advertised?

Is this just not the cutest idea? I can just imagine how wonderful it must be to enjoy the relaxing bath under the stars or during the day with the scent of the cedar woods and the birds chirping about! How cute is that towel with the beautiful crocheted edge and embroidery? And the FarmGirl can of Herbs or balthsalts??(not sure of contents) is the perfect bath addition for soothing those tired muscles after a work day in the garden! This "Spa" should be photographed and highlighted in one of those magazines for OutBack Living!!

Kellie, That is awesome. Maybe we should yank our clawfoot tub out of our master bath and find a spot amongst the foliage to place ours...it sure doesn't ever get used in the house.
