Are there any plans for the Farm Girls on the Loose getting together this year in 2012? Maybe some regional outings? Anxious to get out with the glamper this year and meet up with some of the sisters. I'm in WI, any ideas out there?

If I were closer to your part of the world it'd be fun to join you!

Yup, Gracie, it is what you make it. Robin and I had that very discussion on our tent glamping trip the morning after we got pounded with rain and high wind . . . as we held up the tent and poured the rain water out the door!

Hey Suzanne,
Wahooo! glad you will be joining us & glad you got your sites locked in...There aren't any sites left & I have a waiting list for 3 ladies... if anyone from your group has to cancel please ask them to contact me first so I can have one of the waiting list gals 'buy' the reserved site. :>)

I'll be sending out an email about mid-April to get a final (sort of) tally of who all is coming & what sites & their arrival dates!

We have 'Sisters on/the Fly' and non SOTF attending. it will be a blast! As it always!
I am a firm believer that "it is what you make of it" and if you want to have fun, you will! :>)
There are about 8 ladies/trailers in the upper sites where you are that are joining us for the festivities! oh & 4 are from down by you, Tri-Cities, Prosser....
Wagons HO & Happy trails!

I'm planning on getting to the June 1st Glamping weekend in Spokane at the Riverside State Park with my mom, my daughter and my bestess of friends. They aren't "Sisters" but want to Glamp. I'm not new to camping but am new to Glamping so we'll see how well I do.
We have 3 tent sites reserved and hope to visit some of the Sisters around the campground. Gonna hit "Farm Chicks" too... another first for me. Looking forward to it.
Would like to get a Farmgirls on the Loose Logo to stick in our windows tho.

I'm a fairly new Farmgirl and would love to join the gathering in CDA. I don't have a camper so I'd need a cabin or some other accommodation. Is there pre-registration? What is the cost and how do I find out about a cabin?

Meanwhile...back at the Garden of Weedin'...

Hey Zoe!
Eyup, 'tis me! I agree about never having too many sisters - so far I like it over here very much! And I really need some more websites to keep current on (NOT)! Cool that I already know someone!!!!!

Hey there Fiddlehead Farm, just saw you are looking for a farmette.
I love that area over where you ar looking. The LOOTG are having a
get-together June 1st weekend in IL about an hour south of me. They are doing it in conjunction with the National Glamper Weekend at
Mary Jane's in ID. Good luck on your search, keep me posted!!

Is this the Lynn that I think it is?? This the cheesehead Zoe from WI...welcome here to the Farm Girls, they are great bunch of girls, too. You can't have too many sisters!!
Lady Rose Posted - Mar 01 2012 : 08:07:02 AM
Hello everyone!
I am a brand spankin' new Farmgirl Sister, who got wind of this site through a post on my "home" Facebook page, The Loyal Order of the Glamper. The post talked about National Glamping Weekend, and I'm so excited to be joining some of the Wisconsin Glampers that have come to be among my dearest friends! I've got a 1966 Coachmen Middy named Chicklet because that's what she looks like. I'm doubly excited to hear that there are Minnesota campers here - my personal experience with Sisters on the Fly was that there were not many folks in Minnesota, and I'd have to drive quite a ways to meet up for SOTF outings. Chicklet and I (and my big goofy Sheltie) are all dying for a campfire meal, so count me in as far as Upper Midwest campouts go!

Katherine,
I am planning a WI gathering for the spring. Just haven't decided on a date yet. Was thinking about Governor Dodge or Wyalusing State Parks. Prabably in the end of May or early June. I will make a separate post when I finish the plans. I sure hope you could make it! I am in Janesville, WI but Hubby and I are looking for a hobby farm in the Richland Center or Viroqua area. It is nice to see a few more WI farmgirls here, Welcome!

I am relatively new to the Farmgirl's but I love to camp and would love to meet some of the wonderful ladies I've been reading about. I'm in WI but can travel. I was just in MN for a B.O.W. Weekend and loved it. June 9 weekend is salmon fishing weekend in Port Washington. Anybody in that area of WI?
