Yay--I finally got to go camping. Yes, it was cold. but so worth it. The full moon was gorgeous and with the snow the night was never dark.

Funny thing--I made up a mix of the dry ingredients for MJ's sourdough pancakes using powdered milk. You should have seen the consternation on my face trying to figure out how much powder to three times water to make 1/2 cup milk.

Anyway, got packed, loaded my pony and dogs and took off.

Sunday morning I got ready to make the pancakes and realized that I had fogotten the starter. Now what? Well, I added the egg and the approximate amount of water and had MJ's non-sour sourdough pancakes. They were good but disappointing because I wanted the sour!

Moral--make a list even if you are SURE you will remember that one thing.

Yeah--I have forgotten underwear. Only once though! Somehow that one sticks in your memory.

I've forgotten my pillow. Wadded up clothes just aren't the same. Now I have a living quarters horse trailer so bedding is already inside.

My husband always pooh-poohed my list. "Oh, just keep a list in your head of what you need." Well, Mr. List-in-my-head forgot his pillow on a week-long trip (pre-LQ trailer) and we had to drive miles to Bend to buy him a new one! He's never said another word about my lists.

Ditto on the List... I can not tell you how many times I have had to hit a store enroute because I forgot my towel, a toothbrush or replacement batteries for the walkie-talkies.... oh & then there was the one time I forgot to bring my case w/clothing.. yep, had to live in the same "outfit" for 3 days! ... thank goodness panties can be handwashed & dried over night! lolol!
Yep,,,a "List" is a must! lol!

LOL! I know what you mean about a list. We now keep a list on our computer desktop for camping. We tend to forget items each trip.

Glad you go to go. How fun!
