Hi Farmgirls! We are having our 2nd annual CampOut Oct 14-16th at my farm in Iola,TX. We would love to have you join us. Sisterhood membership not required but incouraged. Who wouldn't want to be a member of this special group of ladies. We had such a great time last year that everyone is looking forward to it again. We had some trailers and lots of tents and a ton of food. We had some guest speakers and had a homemade swap. We did a hayride and some fishing (not this year as we have had no rain and now no ponds) I have decided to do a theme each year from here on out and this year the theme is BEES. I am trying to get our local Apiary to help out with giving up some pointers on doing bees. So please email me if you have any questions and I will updated as the time gets closer. Hope ya'll can make it!

Catherine, it was great to be with you again. And we loved your shabby shack camper. We enjoy being with you.
Sylvia, I really enjoyed meeting you. And had a great time. Sorry we had to leave early, but Shannon is doing ok!
I had a good time and enjoyed the Bee Man and getting to be around everyone again. And getting away is always fun and refreshing. Have a great rest of the week!

Sylvia, my daughter and I stayed in a tent last year, and we intend to stay in one this year. Jennifer and her husband supplied us with a trailer, to use for the bathroom, we camped not to far from the bathroom and even made a midnight run to it. We had a blast and are so excited about this year. It was so much fun to get away, and Jennifer made everyone feel so comfortable and at home. We stayed busy, even had a hay ride at night. And one night their was a light frost, (can't imagine what the weather will be like this year). I hope you will join us, it will be fun to meet you. Its a very nice place. fyi to you Tx farm sisters... buncjh of us Sisters on the Fly gals will be Glamping on Oct 14th up here in Spokane as well... keeping our fingers crossed for decent camping weather.

Hi Ladies,
We are going to do some knitting and crocheting classes at the campout so I wanted to post what we will need for supplies if you would like to try one or both of these tasks. Remember we can apply for badges with theses things.
I have the supply list for knitting and will get back to you on the crocheting supplies
Here is for the knitting
EASY QUICK KNIT POTHOLDER:
It is a 7" x 7" finished square with a crocheted loop in one corner for hanging
Need 2 oz (a skein) of worsted weight yarn, divided into 2 separate balls(before coming to camp-out). Pair of #10-1/2 knitting needles. F-5 Crochet hook, scissors

Oh & by the by,,, I got this for FREE.
I was driving by a small older neighborhood in the little town near us. Saw a lady dragging a bunch of "treasures" out to the curb, so I pulled over and asked what she planned to do with the horse & she said she was leaving by the curb for trash pick-up...
OMG! I nearly piddled my panties,,, I asked if I could have it & well, now it is in a nice warm garage with the rest of my fab-u-los finds that I have dragged home.... Hubby thinks I am nuts! Oh Well! :>)

haha! my new "Horse" will have to do for now as the real one was suppose to be here this summer...but due to a lot of un-expected events ($$$) we had to put the real horse on hold till 2012... I am still very much interested in Cury Hair Baskshire breed, but typically they are on ave., only 15hands tall and I prefer a 15.5-16hands tall gelding...But I am also fond of Appy's which are native to this region. But in all honesty, my all time fav is the true blue, easy peasy Morgan.....
I have family in TX (hubby side) in the FlowerMound & Athens area.... & plan to get there in 2years for a family reunion... so we just might have to plan a 'play date'. :>)
Texas has the 3rd or 4th largest count of SOTF sisters & I am always reading about their antics...no rain, lots of heat & even more camping events...lucky TX gals!
My Horse, until the real thing arrives! lol!

Oh Grace I wish you were closer too! I just love your Glamper! You will have to make plans to come to one of our campouts one day. Maybe the SOTF will have to do that one day. We don't have any ponds left for fishing but we sure do have alot of fun.
Oh and I saw you got a horse! Too Cute! Have you been to my farm website and checked out some of my horses! I could bring you one when i come and visit Alee!  Would give me a excuse to come and visit!
