My friend Sue and I are leaving the husbands at home an going on a road trip. First we're off to the Sisters Oregon outdoor quilt show Then we're off to Timberline Lodge/Mt. Hood. After that we're going to the Columbia Gorge area--staying in Hood River at a motel that is right next door to the famous and expensive Columbia Gorge Hotel. We can walk across the parking lot and be in their beautiful gardens and the 208 foot waterfall right behind their hotel. Then we're going to the Multnomal Falls Lodge for breakfast. Oh while in Hood River we're doing the Fruit Loop and of course hitting every quilt store and thrift stop on the way and back. JoAnn

You go girls!! This will be the most revitalizing time for the both of you. My friends and I ( all well into our 50's and more) have a only girls, -- no guys calling asking where their dinner is, and how do I make it? Children and grandchildren are told that unless someone is dying to not call. What we do is have a two night slumber party, and we do it just as if we are still teenagers. all night and doing all the goofy things that we want to. We don't go anywhere but we have the most fun .
