Posted - Jun 02 2011 : 10:02:12 AM I just read one book that states the seeds in the pods from black locust trees are edible. Some sources say the are not. Any advice? We have these on our property.
I found this really nice Web site that offers recipes for foraged food. They have recipes using the black locust flower. I have not read over the entire site, but it offers lots of recipes.

We found dogbane on our property, and will reading about that today too. I know we have milkweed and there is a recipe for a quiche with it on the above site.

Posted - Jun 02 2011 : 10:04:39 AM Now, we think the trees we have are not black locust, but honey locust. I guess we have some fun researching to do.
