Any of you farmgirls ride? I am planning the year of my 50th Birthday 2015, to ship my motorcycle to CA and ride Route 66 back from CA to Ohio. Yes it's a bit early but am starting to save and plan now. Takes a bit to ship a bike that far, and I want to have plenty of money for the trip too. If anyone including husbands (mine will be along if he makes it that long, haha)is interested, drop me a line and we will keep in touch while planning this trip...would love for some farmgirls to be there on the journey!!

Janie, anytime you guys decide you want to ride in our direction just let me know. My Hubby will use any excuse to ride the 'big boy bike' as he calls it. LOL! He is even usin it today to take his suit to the cleaners!

Hey Paula,

We'll definitely put you on as a 'must stop' to see you! I probably came right past you several years ago (by myself in the car), beautiful places you have there.

Farmgirl Hugs!

Hey Katie,

Thank you for the invitation, we'd love to! I lived in Ojai for 3 years, where are you located? Love your blog, bookmarked it for reading later on. Hwy 1 is beautiful! Congrads on turning 50, how was it? 30 made me cry, 40 was a breeze though.

Farmgirl Hugs...

Hello Kristin,

My 50th will be in four years, hoping to ride early fall 2014. We want to take just inside of two weeks to do it, relax and have some fun too! If we are done early fine, but no rushing on this trip! Hope to see you on the trip!

Angela,

I'm keeping this page in favorites and keeping track, it will be four years...guessing I'll just email all, and hope to find them! Anyone riding the full distance will need to start planning, if they're renting or shipping a bike and saving some cash for the trip. Would love to meet up with you in Indiana!

Hello Grace,

My Dad has a V-Star and loves it too. Sorry your not able to ride now, but someday hopefully you'll get into it again. Thank you for your reply, love to hear from other Farmgirls!

I've got an old BMW that I think is a fantastic girls bike, weight is low down. We live on the Mendocino Coast Ca. let us know if you need a place to stay if you're riding Hwy 1

I just turned 50 too! Kind a big deal.

Good luck with the shipping.

We ride a Harley Road Glide and would love to make part of the trip with you. We could meet up with you in NM or the Texas panhandle and ride across OK with you. What time of year are you planning this trip? I am a teacher so I get off in late may until mid-August. The year we got the Road Glide we rode to upstate New York and while it was a little cool going up in late may-it was getting preety warm in mid-June for the ride home.

We just got our Harley Roadking paid off last month!!! We are looking for a side car now. I would love to go on that ride with you. When will you be going? And how long do you think it would take? That sounds like SO much fun.

We got a bike! You let me know when this is gonna happen and we'll meet up somewhere and ride the last leg with you. I'm in central Indiana. I think it would be alot of fun to ride together for a bit!

Oh how I miss my bike....I sold mine before moving up to Wash.
My 1st bike was a Honda FT500... fun old bike.
My 2nd bike was a Suzuki Maruder Custom 800 (hated that bike)
my 3rd bike was a Yamaha V-star 650...LOVED that bike.
But it has been almost 4 years since I have riden : > (
When we 1st moved up here I was going to get another bike, but a former co-worker was killed while riding...a deer ran out infront of him. And where we live, deer are like rabbits...plus we have limited good riding weather and horrible roads(where we live) so I have decided I won't be on a bike as long as I live up here.
I really do miss riding especially where we use to live.
Janie have a blast, but ride safe, smart & defensively.
Lucky you!
