Posted - Nov 02 2010 : 04:17:37 AM I was thinking of taking the hubby to a cabin for a long weekend. But there aren't any kitchen facilities in the place I want to go.
I'm contemplating taking our pop-up. It's been winterized, but we can still run the heat. I'd have to haul water for cooking/dishes/washing up.
It could be very cold here - snow isn't out of the question.
Anyone ever take a late autumn trip? Any tips to pass on?

Posted - Nov 15 2010 : 04:48:32 AM I haven't but we were considering cabins at a campground that has heaters. I thought about borrowing the pop-up again, but we ended up splitting wood all weekend.

Posted - Nov 02 2010 : 10:47:56 AM Deb, Great minds think alike--we are taking a camping trip with our small cab over truck camper(with a heater). My only advice is to dress in layers--I love silk or polyester long underwear under my pants--you can't tell that they are on and really make a difference. Have fun! JoAnn |
