I can't believe my luck, I have been looking for a vintage camper to restore and lo and behold...I found one!!!!! So excited, I had to post right now. Pictures to follow, it's too dark outside to take a photo. I am going to Glamp her up and name her something...

Boy does that bring back memories. My parents had a frolic camper, just like yours. But I believe it must have been a 1966 ot 1967. It was blue and white just like yours. Yours looks like it is great shape! Enjoy! |

Lucky you, Diane. Who else but you could find, not one, but two of the same type of camper....and in such a short time I stand amazed!With your talent, I can't wait to see how you dress it up. Congrats Kiddo!

Drove over 250 miles to Iowa to look at and buy the other Frolic camper! It is a lot better shape than the one we have. Only one problem...after working on the trailer lights for over 3 hours, had to leave the camper there. The owner is going to fix them and drive it here for us.

WOW Lucky you 2 of them!!!! My DH and I fixed one up years ago. Water tends to be a problem we used lots of caulk!!!!!!! It was sad when we let her go. All the memories. Enjoy!

So how lucky can a girl get? As you know, my camper is a little worse than we thought. Rotted wood frame in the rear and one front corner. Guess what I am looking at tomorrow? Another Frolic camper...a lot better shape than mine. Hopefully we buy it and use the other one for parts and make one really good Frolic out of them. I will keep you posted.

Found more water damage than we expected. Pretty much re-doing the whole rear wall and one front corner. We did score yesterday at Menard's. Got a wood laminate floor for the camper for only $75. It is real cool...looks hand scraped. I have decided to name the camper "ScallyWagon". I am doing the wood floor, white bead board look walls and black cabinets. I will add some red accents and am going to use several different tartan plaids for curtains, bedding, etc...The exterior will be white with the quilted panels painted in black and white and red tartan plaid! More pictures to follow.

Yesterday we spent the whole day putting together one of those "garage in a box" to cover the camper while we work on it and also for winter storage. $400 to cover a $300 camper! I will post more pics later tonight.
