Posted - Apr 15 2010 : 11:46:18 PM I have a 1967 Aladdin camp trailer that I bought last fall to deckout for a little glamping with my girlfriends, but I felt like "she" *who I call "The back 40* needed the right rig to pull her... not just any would do.. SO I found her a 1970 Jeepster Commando... I love this little Jeepster.. and while I may be "traveling in style" I suspect I wont be getting there in record time as anything over 55 miles an hour leaves me feeling like I was wrestling with the gators..... But.. I think they are a cute couple.. now to get them all duded up.... I plan on painting the top and the bottom of the trailer light blue to match the jeepster... and adding light blue inside in the way of bedding etc.. which will be fun as I dont own ANYTHING thank color... should be fun...

Posted - Apr 18 2010 : 9:59:10 PM He Rene, Good idea to have the white dominate inside and use the blue to accent. Don't want to overwhelm since blues are usually thought of as cool colors. This should look good when you get finished. Carla

Posted - Apr 16 2010 : 10:51:41 PM hey, remember what my Scotty looked like(on the outside) last June? well she still looks like that! lol! Never apologize, after all, we know that these sweet vintage trailers are all diamonds in the rough! It's all about heart & attitude! Besides, that's why we go cheap junktiquing...to find lots of junk to cutesiefy them up & hide all the imperfections! I can hardly wait...just 14 more days! lol!

Posted - Apr 16 2010 : 10:39:54 PM Rock On girlfriend! I am soooo lovin' the Jeepster & I think "TBF" will look cute as a button being towed by her matching jeep. I wonder if my Gary will let me take our Jeep in for a paint job...but then what color would I paint it? blue for the Scotty or rustic red for the Aljo,,,which by the way, Gary has started working on again! yippeee! But for now I'll be towing my lil Scotty.... So I am thinking of painting a "Scotty" silouette on both sides along with a 'blue scarf' blowing in the breeze. What do you think?

Posted - Apr 16 2010 : 5:48:49 PM I went out and got paint samples today for the trailer (the outside stripes) to match the Jeepster.... Turns out the color is called "horseshoe" it is sorta Teal.... not really baby blue... more.. teal. I will post pictures. I also went out to find bedding ... I want to carry the same colors inside that are out......I am thinking the teal blue.... Brown and Yellow... BLUE is a "new" color for me... Normally I migrate to purple, yellow and white....... SO.....I am however thinking of 1 white fullsize, 1 twin sizw quilts ( as I have two fullsize beds in there), then just loading them down with pillows that are brown, yellow and teal... what do you all think????

That's my thoughts too, Rene. I'm not trying to find a perfect one. Just one that is big enough for us and doesn't leak and can be pulled with our minivan. We don't have tons of money to throw into one either, but little bits here and there will pay off at the end of summer I think!
