Posted - Jan 13 2010 : 03:56:48 AM We go camping lots in our 4 man tent. So, is a glamper someone who camps in a trailer at a fancy/gourmet campground? |

Posted - Jan 18 2010 : 7:19:29 PM well, i'm impressed! Never heard of such a thing. I do put a tableclothe on the table - a clothe one, but other than that we rought it. We have good food, but not fancy - desserts are roasted apples, smores, and popcorn ususally - we cook over an open fire. Our entrees are ususally hotdogs/sausages one night, burgers and chicken the other night - over the open fire also. I've gotten it so organized that i print off my shopping list and menu off the computer and pick up everything, then i add a few extras like cheese and crackers, etc.
I'll have to give this glamour thing lots of thought for our next camping trip - it will surely surprise the family/guys. |

Posted - Jan 13 2010 : 9:23:36 PM A glamper is a hiker who carries a flask of wine to drink when she gets to the top of the summit. She may wear pink hiking boots (I admit, I do). The sandwich in her backpack is made with homemade bread and she carries a cheese board to slice the organic cheese for her sandwich. She mixes glamor with good old-fashioned camping traditions. She makes peach cobbler in her dutch oven. These are just a few of the things that I feel define glamping. There are many more. |
