My Dad picked up my 1973 Shasta Compact today!! It is killing me that I have to wait to see it for a few more weeks. We live 2 states away. It was a great price, it is in need of some TLC, but I am so up for the challenge. I am already daydreaming of my theme. It still has the original gas lamp in perfect condition and a double bunk (for my 3 little ones). I can't wait to get my hands on it!!!!

Oh, Lisa! I hope that you will be able to post some photos of your camper! I have an Airstream and I have been working on it for a while. I can't wait to take it out!

Thanks for all the kind comments. I am doing a shabby/beach cottage theme. I went home over the weekend and worked on it with my brother and dad. The whole inside is missing now. I am having all of the cushions recovered and they are costing more than the camper, YIKES! But with kids it will be worth it for material that wears well and wipes clean. I hope to be camping in her by the end of next month. With it only being a 13 foot camper it doesn't take long to put things back together, nor does it take a lot of material cost.

I'm so jealous. I had my "VANDURA" for two years. She was thiry years old, gutted her, made her more efficient, painted murals of flowers and butterflies all over inside and took her to Mexico one winter. What a hoot. You wil have so much fun.
enjoy!

Wow that sounds so neat! What ideas do you have for a theme?

Now how fun is that Lisa! You will love owning one! Having a vintage trailer is a blast and I sure love my little 1957 Jewel!!

Hugs,
