I got it! My dear sweet daughter bought it for me for Christmas. I showed Dh the page with the outside bathtub & the propane heater.. He really liked the idea.. I have always wanted an outside shower.. Now maybe I will get one.. Thank You Mary Jane..I love the book!

Just ordered the Stitching book with my mag renewal; am, not so patiently -smile-, waiting for both. I've really enjoyed the Outpost book and have gotten a lot of cute ideas, yet to be implemented. sigh. I suppose I could set aside a project or two but then wouldn't feel any pressure atall.
The glass jar candle idea is nice and useful too and really enjoy the bathtub idea. Although, there are times I take a dip in the horse trough, when it's blazing hot in the summer because the horse trough is fed by an underground river and icy cold.

I just ordered this book. I was wavering, but a 'one star' rating on Amazon pushed me into buying it. She complained that there was too much about stuff to do with kids in it. I can see how that would be very aggravating for a farmgirl without kids, but for someone in my position, with three young kids, it sounds perfect. I can't wait to get it.

Rene' I just found your question on this post.. Where have I been? The first project to do is an outpost bathtub for my back yard. Dh is up for the idea too.. His sister who lives in CA has anoutdoor shower which we love to use when we are visiting. I have an add out now onCraigs list for a claw foot bathtub.. I think I may have found one. WhaHoooooooo! Can't
wait to landscape around it. with shrubs, flowers.

My library has the Outpost book and I checked it out yesterday. I've already read the whole thing. It is truly amazing!!! I feel totally inspired. I also feel a little guilty for not having my children outdoors more. My youngest son is addicted to video games and I feel like I have cheated him. Well, no longer for this book has truly inspired me! Read it today!!!

Blessings!

I have two wooden lounge chairs on my front porch and thats where I am going to create it!! One side of my porch has a trellis and roses..so the other side will have a trellis and maybe morning glorys!! I cant wait for spring to get started..only a few hours and I will have a great space!!!

That's the last book I need for my MJ collection! I just got the stitching book with my magazine subscription. Love it! I'm waiting to get the outpost book as I have enough on my plate right now and I'm afraid that like everything else, I will want to do it ALL............NOW!

God bless -
