Turkey season was over yesterday for us and my BIL got one on the last day. He is now a happy camper. I'm a happy camper too cuz he brought it over here, not to skin (sis did that)but to put in our freezer for our Christmas dinner. Sis and her hubby goes up to his folks in Iowa for Thanksgiving and brings them a bird, they don't like wild turkey. BIL goes pheasant hunting too.( oh thats a tasty bird too) Everytime he brings a wild turkey up they cook the ol Butterball. Sooo this year he's keepin his hunt down here were we love wild turkey. doin a happy dance!!!

Sis told me that I have to cook it, "WHAT" I was hopin she would b/c she cooks a knock out roasted wild turkey. I like the white meat on the chicken and turkey and being a wild turkey it's not that white but oh is the breast juicy and good. So I hope it turns out like sis's.

Got any roasted wild turkey recipes that I can knock their socks off with?

Do any of you brime your turkey first? What types of seasonings/herbs do you use.

I will be cooking one of those store bought chemical injected frozen 20+lb bird for Thanksgiving , its good too but nothing like the wild turkey.

One more thing, did your hunters in your family get their turkey too? : )
