Posted - Aug 25 2008 : 10:28:48 PM So I took the Shasta out this weekend for a trip with the kiddies to Jellystone park in NY, not too far from home and she did great!! It poured when we woke this morning and not a single leak woohoo! The funniest part was how many people wanted to check out the inside of the trailer...they were all excited about it being vintage...lol Anyway, I have to get a large outside patio type mat/rug so we don't drag dirt and gravel onto the new laminate flooring and I HATE all the ones I've found on the RV sites. I obviously want something with farmgirl flair...any ideas...I was thinking oilcloth but I don't think it can handle all of the walking on it... I'm gonna repaint the trailer soon red and white...any ideas for the patio rug let me know...you have all been such a great creative help!! And yes, I will post new blog photos tomorrow....promise...

Posted - Sep 04 2008 : 06:58:46 AM Beautiful, great job on making it look great, so warm and inviting too.
You all are having so much fun on your trips. We had one like that when we moved to the sticks, didn't go anywhere, just left it in the woods but we had the best time.
Have fun tripping in your camper. Your darling kids will have a lot to share with their friends and lots of memories.
Keep those pictures coming

Posted - Aug 27 2008 : 2:47:59 PM How 'bout indoor/outdoor carpet or large rugs. I've seen some at Home Depot that have nice patterns and colors. |

Posted - Aug 26 2008 : 07:50:08 AM Can't wait to see pictures, isn't it wonderful that roofs don't leak : ). I don't blame others for wanting to look inside your vintage trailer, I would be one of those people too
Great idea using the drop cloth for the flooring for tents and outside, its so versatile. One of my clients had me make her slipcovers using drop cloth. She prewashed it and it came out looking great.
Might want to get some type of pegs that go all the way to the ground to hold it tight.
Have fun camping , I'll be looking forward to looking at pictures : )

Posted - Aug 26 2008 : 07:21:51 AM Erin - Great idea with the drop cloth! You could cut it down to whatever size you need, paint any design you want, and seal it to make it a little more waterproof.

Posted - Aug 26 2008 : 06:58:15 AM Hey girls what about a painters drop cloth? It basically just a big piece of canvas. You can find it at any paint store. It's what we use in our wall tent for a floor.

Posted - Aug 26 2008 : 04:17:45 AM That's great news about the roof!
I'm looking for a patio mat thingy too. The only ones I've seen are the fake grass looking ones. They look goofy to me.
http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/product/deluxe-reversible-patio-mats-9-x-12-/6121 Camping world has that one. It doesn't suit my tastes at all. I'm hoping someone else here as a great idea as well.
Can't wait to see your blog photo's!
