Just home from Grouse hunting and Ptarmigan searching...... I took some great photos of mushrooms! Spruce forests were full of them.

Ptarmigan chicks perished last June so they were few and far between.

I'm still carrying my PETA approved shotgun, so the birds were safe!

Happy soon to be fall to you. May your gardens give plenty, your heart be full of love and let there plenty of goodness around you!
The mushroom below is amenida muscari, it is considered poisonous, but it's so cute and colorful. It has been used throughout time as ceremonial mushroom......

Visit my blog, I'll let you know how dark it is now! jo in alaska

The mushroom is amenida muscari, a traditional mushroom used in ceremonies but poisonous nonetheless.

Love your blog. Especially enjoyed the pictures of Mexico. We have friends from Michoacan but I've never been there. Are all the pictures of Mich.? How touching to go to the Dia de los Muertos celebration -- just amazing. Respect and love for family is so important, and it's universal, isn't it. Thanks for sharing the beautiful pictures.

That is an awesome mushroom!! Wow!
I used to grouse hunt with my dad alot when I was a kid. I wonder if they have grouse here?? My husband loves to shoot but isn't a hunter...so I never have anyone to go with. My oldest boys (who are grown and live in calif.) hunt alot of grouse, ducks and stuff.
Those blueberries look wonderful!!

I have never seen a red mushroom. I guess the red is natures way of saying poison. The blueberries are beautiful.
