We're taking our, 5th trip, I believe coming up soon. We'll be on Dale Hollow Lake in KY. There are no houses on the lake and only a handful of resorts. The last time we went we saw 1 other houseboat and 2 fishing boats. We like to tie up waaayyy back away from everyone where it's nice and quiet.

We hope to see lots of wildlife and catch some fish. The houseboat we have this year doesn't have any electric - so no tv , no radio (only the emergency radio. Our lights run on propane, as does the fridge.

I need to get started on my menu's for the trip. We're so excited about going! My girls have started their list already: bug nets & jars, nature books & journals and swim suits!

The song of the birds for mirth,--
One is nearer God's heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on earth.
