Posted - Jun 19 2007 : 2:27:28 PM Beautiful, Shannon - both the scenery and you family. That water looks so pure and clean. I'm used to the muddy, polluted Ohio River when I'm in Louisville.

Posted - Jun 19 2007 : 11:47:53 AM What a great place! It looks like your family had a wonderful time! I feel bad because Nora and I missed my fiance's first Father's Day! We will have to do a Father's Day when we get home I guess.

Posted - Jun 19 2007 : 09:44:57 AM Yes, it's the same lake. My DH somehow got Monday off so we camped Sunday night instead of just pinicing.
We hiked around the lake and found that there were alot of marshy areas, so it was tough going with little kids. There was alot of deer and elk sign. The kids pointed out every pile of poop they saw.

Here's our campsite, we were the only ones there.

Another picture of the lake. These flowers were growing everywhere, does anyone know what they are? I was expecting to see fox gloves and lupines all over, but they weren't up this high. My son's new goal is to climb that mountain in the distance, it's called the South Pyramid.

Happy Camping!
