My hubby is a March Madness fanatic. We've been married 23 years and he makes sure he's not working for the 4 days of the continuous games.

He is known for his 'bracket' genius and guys call him for his advice on their brackets.

We own our own business now, so it's easy for him to take the time off. But, back when he worked a 'real job', he'd take sick days and even vacation days to watch the games. It actually would cause fights between us....I was mad that he made so much effort for those games and not put the same effort into other things. Anyway..... now, I just make him a bunch of junk food and listen to him scream and shout.

I tried to play a trick on him today and say that our satellite went out and that the company said they couldn't fix it until April.

One of the best compliments from one of my daughters: "Moma, you smell good...like dirt."

Hubby has been faithfully watching the games and correcting his bracket predictions. Upsets, mistakes, surprises...all makes for good sports watching.

He wants Gonzaga or Wichita State to win the whole thing.

I found my "March Madness" post from 2013. Nothing has changed except now we've been married 25 years. Hubby still prints out and fills in the brackets. Friends still seek his advice for their picks. He still takes off from work to watch. And I still cook lots of food for him to enjoy.

I think I might like basketball a teeny bit more than football because it's faster moving.

I want to play another prank on hubby when it gets closer to the games. I'll have to come up with a good one.

Hey Marly. I saw your post in another forum on the NFL. Are you like me and having withdrawals? I love football from pro to peewee. I'm a huge Packer fan how 'bout you?

Funny, Catherine. Loved the post.

Love your post Catherine. Made me laugh alot.Sorry, kinda new to the site so I just saw it. Tonight's a big night for me as I picked Syracuse to win it all. Hope your hubby did also. And if the satellite truly went out, this farmgirl would be driving her International tractor to the Direct TV headquarters:)
