We always set aside time to watch the big show at Madison Square Garden. I love the behind the scenes stories too. It is going to be Feb 13 and 14th this year, in case anyone else is interested!

Marly, I show English Bulldogs, one of the few breeds where an owner/handler can still win. Most of the handlers at the big shows are professionals. I don't think I'll ever get there, as I really don't have the $$ to campaign a dog on a large-scale basis. It is a rich person's sport at that level. But I can always dream!

Melina, what kind of dog/dogs do you show? How exciting for you. One day you may be invited and win Best in Show.

As one who shows dogs, I always love to watch and dream a bit about being invited to attend. And naturally in my dreams, my dog goes Best in Show.

Thanks for posting Paula - we watch the dog show every year - I love it and was just thinking I needed to google this so I remembered to save the date! There was one year when the mastiff was one of the top placers and he was just frolicking - so funny, this huge dog so playful!
