So, last night the Mister and I were riding with our friend Doug, and we had to stop to pick up Doug's wife from her bowling league. I couldn't help but notice that every bowling lane seems to smell exactly the same!

Out of nowhere, Mister turns to me and asks, "Do you want to go bowling?" Mind you, this is coming from a guy whose idea of casual is wearing a tie with a loose knot. I suppose my expression was pretty priceless!

It turns out that when he was in college, he was on a bowling team. Surprise, surprise! I haven't bowled in years because to be honest, I'm horrible at it. Ever since he said that, though, I've felt the urge to knock down a few pins.

Any other farmgirls bowl?

When I have gone bowling, it was only for fun and laughs, and we got plenty of both.
Heather, I think kids have more fun with bowling, they don't take it so serious.
Now my husband, I had to be sure to let him have more points than me. LOL Big baby!

We like bowling too. We aren't great at it, but it's good clean fun.

We decided to have a bowling party last year for our anniversary. And every one really had fun. The only down side was the kids never wanted it to end, and cried when it was time to go home.

I envy you! I have tried to learn pool, but my aim is a joke.

Ouch! My elbow is sending a sympathy card to your wrist...turns out I have to bowl with a brace if I want to be able to move my right arm for the next week. Amazing how those bowling balls make 'em swell up, isn't it?

Glad you got to have fun! It sounds like a perfect birthday present for him.

I hear that! I think I embarrass the people I bowl with, but I have fun!

That sounds like the friends we were with...Becky is on a league, Doug hates to bowl. I hope you can find somebody to bowl with!

My hubby and I used to bowl. He didn't care for that too much. I loved it. Let us know when you go bowling!
